EMERGENCY SHELTER (Safe Stay)

If you are 10-17 years old, Safe Stay offers a welcoming place for you if you need a safe place to stay or a break from conflict at home. Call (734) 662-2222 for more information.

Is Safe Stay right for you?

Read the list below. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions, Safe Stay might be right for you!

  • Do you feel unsafe at home?
  • Do you have conflict with your family?
  • Do you have conflict with friends or other people at your school?
  • Are you doing things to hurt yourself?
  • Do you feel overwhelmed and need a break from your everyday life?
  • Do you want to make changes in your behaviors, but don’t know how?
  • Do you feel stuck and need help figuring out what to do next?
  • Do you feel like something is wrong, but can’t figure out what it is?
  • Do you worry that some relationships you have are not safe or healthy?
  • Have you had sex for money or a place to stay, food, or anything of value?
  • Did you ever work or do something illegal and someone else got money because of your work or your act?

You can stay at Safe Stay for up to 3 weeks and participate in:

After leaving Safe Stay, we help you return to a safe home with a personalized action plan and ongoing therapy and services.

All Ozone House services are free, voluntary, and confidential.

TRANSITIONAL LIVING (Miller House)

If you are ages 17-20 and do not have a stable or safe home, you may stay at Miller House for up to 18 months.

  • Were you in foster care?

Miller House residents must go to school and/or have a job, and you participate in:

When you are ready to leave Miller House and move into your own home, you leave with your saving and continued access to critical Ozone House support services.

SOLO stands for Supported Opportunities for Living on Your Own. Ozone House partners with other homeless providers in the county to offer permanent supportive housing for youth 18-21 with disabilities.
