Since 1969, Ozone House has provided a safe place, shelter and continued support to thousands of runaway, homeless and high-risk youth in our community who don't have a safe place to call home.
We offer a range of housing options - from emergency shelter to permanent supportive housing - in addition to essential wraparound services including healthcare, individual and family therapy, and case management.
Ozone House's continuum of care is nationally recognized as a model of innovative and effective care. Services are designed to offer kids the resources and skills they need to reach their full potential and contribute their best to the world.
We are the only agency in Washtenaw County that provides free, confidential, and voluntary shelter and support services to runaway, homeless and high-risk youth ages 10-20 and their families.
As a community-based non-profit agency, Ozone House relies on the generous support of donors in our community to ensure that we can continue to provide a safe place, shelter, and support - all free of charge - to those who need us most.
Ozone House serves hundreds of young people and families each year.
In Fiscal Year 2007, Ozone House provided:
- Emergency shelter and transitional housing to 142 young people
- 9,923 meals, and other basic needs support
- Crisis intervention and referral services to 1707 youth and families
- Continued support services including counseling, case management, life skills training and advocacy to 746 youth and families
- Street outreach and support to 1,400 young people
- Community Education and Outreach in schools, neighborhoods, and community groups
- Youth-development opportunities at our Drop-In Center in Ypsilanti, which hosted 2,403 visits.
