You may not realize how many youth are homeless in Washtenaw County because many of them work hard to go unnoticed and try to blend in with their peers in the hopes of appearing "normal."

Homelessness isn’t just about lacking shelter - it’s about being vulnerable. Since earning enough money for basic needs is nearly impossible, homeless youth often exchange sex for food, clothing, and shelter. Education is often extremely challenging. Severe anxiety and depression, poor health and nutrition, and low self-esteem also plague these young people.

We are the only organization in Washtenaw County providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, and job training to these youth.
