Crisis Line Training

Ozone House is always seeking compassionate volunteers to become Crisis Line counselors. Crisis Line volunteers listen and provide critical information, referrals, and crisis intervention to youth and families struggling with such issues as family conflict, runaway episodes, homelessness, suicide, abuse and neglect, domestic violence, sexual orientation and gender identity, and other crises. Help Ozone House win a new Toyota van on Monday, May 28th (Memorial Day)! We will be up against 4 other organizations from around the country, and you can only vote once. A new van will be used:

• by our Street Outreach Team

• for transporting clients' belongings on "Move-In Day," when they move out on their own for the first time

• for Safe Stay youth when staff take them out for recreation and life skills training opportunities - job searching, accessing community resources, etc.

• and by the Ozone House poetry team for traveling around the community and to leadership conferences.

Ozone House at the Ann Arbor Marathon

Sunday, June 17th, 7am - 11am

Corner of Washtenaw & Devonshire in Ann Arbor

Ozone House is excited to be hosting a water table for the Ann Arbor marathon! Come join us at our table on the corner of Devonshire & Washtenaw to hand out water and cheer on the runners. We need all of the extra hands that we can get!

Gospel Concert to Benefit Ozone House

Friday, April 27th, 6pm-9pm

EMU Student Center Building Auditorium, 900 Oakwood in Ypsilanti

Students from Social Work 350 at EMU are putting together a gospel concert to benefit Ozone House. Admission is free, although the students are asking for either monetary donations or items from our Wishlist at the door. Artists include Neechy, Tony Frost, Bam Travis, Calvin Golden & Shekinah, Rochelle Bates, Darren Patterson, Victory 24.7 f. Trische', Duckworth Sisters, and the Dancers of David.

Benefit Concert for Ozone House

Friday, April 13th, 7pm

Lincoln High School, 7425 Willis Rd. in Ypsilanti

The Lincoln High School chapter of the National Honor Society is sponsoring a benefit concert for Ozone House. This event is open to the public and will feature exciting local youth talent. We look forward to seeing you there!

Boy Interrupted

Sunday, March 11th, 7pm

Michigan Theater, 603 E. Liberty in Ann Arbor

Ozone House is proud to co-sponsor the screening of a documentary to raise public awareness of bipolar disorder and to benefit the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Fund at the UM Depression Center.

This film tells the heartbreaking story of Evan Perry, a 15-year-old boy who took his own life after a lifelong struggle with bipolar disorder. The film, a selection for the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, will be screened at 7pm. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmaker, students & researchers affiliated with the UM Depression Center at 8:30pm.

Community Showcase of Youth Talent

Saturday, March 10th, 7pm

St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 120 N. Huron St. in Ypsilanti

Youth artists from around the community will showcase their talents at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Ypsilanti. Doors open at 6:30, and the show will begin at 7:00pm. Admission is free for youth between the ages of 10 and 20. There is a suggested donation of $10 for all who attend over the age of 20. Proceeds will benefit Ozone House in Ypsilanti. We look forward to seeing you there!

Love is a Drag...Show

Friday, February 10th, 10pm

Frenchie's, 56 E. Cross St. in Ypsilanti

Do you love Ozone House and Ypsilanti? Come out and support Ypsi Ozone on Friday, February 10th! Join a bevy of glittering goddesses for a night of fun! Three amazing performers, two awesome DJs, and one important cause. Doors open at 9:30, and admission is a $5 donation. Please note: This event is 21+.

Businesses associated with the Main Street Area Association in Ann Arbor are graciously participating in this year's 12 Days of Giving event. Each day, participating businesses will make a donation to a nonprofit for each purchase made. Ozone House will be the recipient of these donations on Friday, December 23rd.
