September 26, 2024
Dear Friends,
Today we write to inform you that Ozone House has made the decision to postpone our October 3 event – Celebrating 55 Years of Providing Safe Place. Real Support – due to the conflict this date presents with Rosh Hashanah, a significant holiday for the Jewish community.
Our last communication expressed our sincere apologies for the oversight in our planning and our regret that our event was scheduled without proper attention and respect toward all traditions – which is a hallmark value of inclusivity that Ozone House holds in high regard. Due to further reflection, input, and to be accountable to ourselves and those impacted by the October 3rd event date decision, the Board of Directors and agency leadership have decided to postpone our annual event until sometime in the first half of 2025.
Therefore, no event gathering will take place on October 3, 2024. We will honor all ticket purchases, donations, and sponsorships toward the future date. We will communicate that information as soon as it is determined and hope that you can attend the anniversary celebration on the new date. If you wish to have your donation refunded or have questions about the event date change – please contact Diana Anderson, Director of Development, at danderson@ozonehouse.org or Kellie Rutledge, Executive Director, at krutledge@ozonehouse.org. You may also call either one of them directly at (734) 662-2265.
If you have any further questions regarding the event postponement, please contact our Community Engagement Associate, Amtheyst, at afloyd@ozonehouse.org.
Again, thank you for your understanding. We are deeply sorry for any confusion this has caused.
Most sincerely,
Lee Meadows, President Kellie Rutledge
Board of Directors, Ozone House Executive Director, Ozone House
