Dear Supporters of Ozone House,
After careful consideration and in line with the recommendations of leading health experts, we have decided to cancel our in-person event, Welcome Back Home – An Evening with Ozone House, scheduled for September 10th. As hard as this is, we know this is absolutely the right decision to make for Ozone House and our community.
We were so excited about coming back together and celebrating community and highlighting our successes and challenges over the last 18 months. This decision wasn’t made easily, but we know it is best for our overall safety, health and leadership responsibility.
Over the past 18 months, Ozone House has seen an increase in need for services and we do not take canceling a fundraising event at this critical time lightly. Ozone House needs your continued support, especially now, when it’s hard to predict when the COVID health crisis will end.
We want to say a special thank you to everyone who helped us throughout this process.
Thank you to our creative event committee; Allison Gacek, Anne Wilhoit, Betsy McCallister, Helen Harding, Kathie Wolney, Keri McDonald, Laurie Buys, and Tyler Weston, and others who offered their time and talents; Rachel Krumm, Chase Bank Volunteers, the Enoch family, Chris Adams, and Emily Polaczyk.
We deeply appreciate everyone who purchased a ticket (which we will honor for a future event) or gave in lieu of attending. We want to give special shout outs to those who invited others as table hosts and those who made paddle raise pledges; Allison and Adam Gacek, Rodrigo Goyanes and Rommel Sagana, Stan and Linda Learman, David and Jan Hartmann, Elizabeth Keren-Kolb and Brent Kolb, Susan and Richard Allison, Jan and Carey Culbertson, Anne and David Wilhoit, Rivet and Robert Amico, and Emily Moore-Marshall and Tim Marshall.
We appreciate your support and love, especially over the past 18 months. Your ongoing commitment to our young people helps us continue to provide critical resources to our community.
