Gun violence must stop. There needs to be serious action to address gun violence in our schools. This involves tougher gun laws to reduce easy access to weapons, establishing a culture of gun safety, reducing gun access for youth and those at risk of harming themselves or others and recognizing gun violence as a public health issue. It is essential to expand access to competent mental health services and address the impact of trauma, to heal our communities by investing in the promotion of mental health and wellbeing. We must protect young people and our communities.

We will continue to support and strongly advocate for the safety and wellbeing of all young people and we demand that Michigan’s leaders move to stop gun violence in our schools and in our communities.

Help is always right here.
